     The Kuna FFA chapter started off summer with the State Career Development Events (CDE’s). Kuna sent 23 students to compete in 8 CDE’s.  The Agriculture Mechanics team won at the state level, qualifying the team to compete at the national level in October.

Kuna sent a state-winning Soils Evaluation team to Oklahoma the second week of May to the National Soils Career Development Event (CDE). This event is separated into two parts. The Landsite event challenges members to evaluate an area’s potential to grow crops or be worked. This takes into account the soil quality, how easy it is to move across the land, and the amount of water present. (more…)
